PLAN to appear at the International Fleet Review

Chinese warships visit Brunei

  The missile destroyer Wuhan, the frigate Yulin and the supply ship Qinghaihu of the Navy of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) formed the 9th Chinese naval escort taskforce and left Zhanjiang in Guangdong Province on July 2 for the Gulf of Aden and waters off the Somali coast. On their way to the Gulf of Aden, the Wuhan and Yulin warships arrived in Brunei on the morning of July 5 for a 5-day-long friendly visit to the island nation.

  The two Chinese warships are scheduled to participate in such activities as the 3rd International Defense Exhibition and the International Fleet Review to be held in Brunei.

  It is learned that, the Wuhan and Yulin warships will join naval vessels from 10-odd countries including the U.S., Pakistan, India, Japan and Thailand to appear at the International Fleet Review.
